The NAD C542 CD Player is compatible with both CD-R and CD-RW functions, and has the ability to be able to read, write, or both. It also has an HDCD decoder along with automatic detection. The NAD CD Player offers a burr-brown sigma-delta 24-bit digital to analogue converter for optimum output. The C542 CD Player also features the patented Nichicon “Muse” capacitors. The NAD C542 CD Player has 4 different playback modes: program, random, repeat all or one (for single a track or the entire CD). It also has 20 different programming steps. The NAD CD Player has 2 outputs, Digital Audio Coaxial x 1, and Digital Audio Optical x 1. The audio signal to noise ratio of the C542 CD Player is 108 dB, the dynamic range is 98 dB, and the channel separation is 110 dB. The frequency response of the NAD C542 CD Player is 5 Hz – 20 kHz (± 0.5 dB). It is also equipped with low output impedance, VFL display with selectable track, external IR input, 12V trigger input, and also includes a NAD CD-6 full function remote control.
