With the HD 100 headphone preamp, Atoll fills one of the few gaps in his product portfolio. The HD 100 is a class A headphone amplifier, preamp and DA converter in one. 5 inputs - 2x analogue and 3x digital (Coax, Toslink and USB) allow connections to a wide variety of playback devices, 2 jack plugs with 6.35mm and a line-out forward the signals to several consumers.
The BurrBrown PCM5102 DA converter chip with continuous current output and the discrete constructed Class-A output stage with MKP coupling capacitors also guarantee the usual "high-end" atoll sound: lively, dynamic and with attention to detail and Resolution. And so that all components can be supplied with electricity without interference, 3 Transformers, 8 voltage stabilizers and more than 12000 uF in total Screening capacity for a solid power supply foundation.
