The USG-Pro4 is Ubiquiti's router in the sense we are used to. The security gateway connects the home network to the internet and is used to pass packets to and from. All routers can do this but with the USG you can have advanced security, monitoring and management using the UniFi Controller. The security gateway is also packed full of sophisticated routing features so you can tune your network to your needs.
