The step up model, the RX-A2040 also offers upscaling HDMI into zone 2 from analogue sources, even better sound quality and a thrid audio zone.
The RX-A1040 is the first in the Aventage range to offer discrete analogue audio outputs, perfect if you would like to use this unit in conjunction with a larger power amplifier. It uses extremely high quality digital to analogue conversion from industry leaders ESS. The entire amplifier is set out with maximising sound quality in mind.
