Due to various factors, prices for our products are expected to rise in the new year. While we understand this may cause frustration, it is something that we have no control over. Some of the reasons are outlined below.
- We are currently facing unprecedented increase in freight costs both international and domestic. The freighting issues around the world that started with Covid has not stopped. In fact, one of our suppliers has spent more in one quater of the financial year than the whole previous year in incoming freight costs.
- We have seen huge inflationary pressure in NZ recently. With the current inflation rate just under 5%.
- Recent wage pressure in NZ have also added to this.
- There has been a global increase in production costs of manufacturing which means the cost increases for everyone involved in the supply chain.
We believe that due to these reasons that the retail prices on many things in most certainly go up in the new year.
