General Tips for cleaning your Device
It goes without saying to always check your manufacturers instructions* if you are unsure. Some devices have high quality tactile finishes that may not like certain chemicals, so always check.
That being said, here's some general cleaning ideas
Use a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels, or similar items.
Do not use any type of aerosol sprays, bleaches, or abrasives
Do not spray cleaners directly on the remote or screen surface
Avoid excessive wiping, which might cause damage
Unplug all external power sources, and cables.
Remove any batteries, or turn off the internal rechargeable battery
Using a 70 percent Isopropyl Alcohol* wipe or dip a cotton cloth into rubbing alcohol, and use that to wipe down the entire surface of the controller. Do not get moisture into any openings.
Use an Isopropyl Alcohol (no, that's not Gin) dipped Cotton Bud to carefully clean around the button
Isopropyl Alcohol is typically available from a Chemist
Then, dry the remote with a lint-free cloth
Finally, reinstall or turn on the batteries, reconnect cables etc to your charging cradle
Stay safe everyone, clean your remotes & touch screens, and wash your hands!
*If you're unsure as to whether Isopropyl Alcohol is good on your device, you could default to a damp, warm cloth
