Q Acoustics, Focal, Pro-Ject, SVS, Yamaha, and iFi win major awards!

We are delighted to announce that Q Acoustics, Focal, Pro-Ject, SVS, Yamaha, and iFi have taken home awards at this year’s EISA (Expert Imaging and Sound Association) awards!

EISA includes more than 50 expert sound and vision publications from 25 countries and represents the largest editorial collaboration in the world of consumer electronics. Receiving an EISA award is a massive achievement for any company, and we’d like to extend our congratulations to all of the winners.

And now, for the awards…

  • Q Acoustics picked up the award for Best Buy Loudspeaker of the Year with their fabulous 3050i. The judges were particularly impressed by the 3050i’s ability to portray scale and power without sacrificing detail and delicacy.
  • Focal took home the award for High-End Headphone of the Year with the Clear – a beautifully built headphone capable of providing astonishingly insightful sound. As the judges said, ‘Focal has gone all out for greatness and succeeded’.
  • Pro-Ject had a fantastic year, winning awards in not one but two categories. Pro-Ject’s Streambox S2 Ultra picked up the Streamer of the Year award for its customizability and wide range of features, while the Jukebox S2 won the Analogue System of the Year award, for its big, addictive sound and user-friendly design.
  • SVS literally blew the judges away with their new SB-4000 subwoofer, which won Home Theatre Subwooferof the Year. The judges felt that when it comes to bass performance you can feel as well as hear the SB-4000 was simply ‘in a class of its own’.
  • Yamaha took out the Stereo Receiver of the Year category for the technologically advanced and precise sounding R-N803D. With an ESS Sabre DAC, a raft of cool (and useful) features, and plenty of power under the hood, the judges applauded Yamaha for creating a great-sounding, high-value receiver that will satisfy purists while remaining the ‘swiss-army knife of amplifiers’.
  • Finally, iFi won the Portable DAC/Headphone Amplifier of the Year award for their xDSD. The judges noted the xDSD’s high build quality, punchy analogue output stage, and switchable digital filters, which all contribute to making the xDSD ‘perfect for indulging in music on the move’.
