iFi Pro iESL. The Electrostatic Headphone Amp
Electrostatic headphones have revolutionised headphones. Electrostatic headphones veer off the traditional voice coil route and use current with an electrically charged film to create the sound. The result is clearer, crisper audio. However one draw back is that electrostatic headphones require more voltage and power to drive their higher performance.
The Pro iESL, unlike traditional amplifiers, delivers the extra-high-tension voltage needed to energise the electrostatic plates in headphones that produce ultimate musical nirvana. But by including a Pinstripe Permalloy Core Transformer and a Bias Voltage Generator, the Pro iESL makes it almost impossible for background noise or distortion to ruin your listening heaven.
